A live version of our digital mission
Once Upon a Time Festival was a story-led festival created by ChatterStars and Mrs Underwood. It was designed to help educators bring creativity, storytelling, music and drama into the classroom.
The festival took place at Bristol Beacon on Saturday 15 June 2024 for KS1, KS2 and KS3 teachers and teaching assistants. Helen described it as the live, face-to-face version of the ChatterStars mission to help children build a powerful voice and vocabulary.
What the programme included
- Interactive workshops from leading educators and storytellers.
- Inspirational sessions with Helen Prince, Rebecca Underwood, Hywel Roberts and Adele.
- A resource fair, practical teaching ideas and SEND-friendly activities.
- Networking, goodie bags, refreshments and plenty of popcorn.
